The warrior walked into the great Hall of the gods. There before, standing at the foot of a dais leading to a great reddish-gold throne, stood a goddess. Upon her brow the goddess wore a
golden crown that looked to be the rays of the sun emerging from her head, and upon its brim stars adorned it. Her smile was radiant and soothing and her gown, which flowed to her bare feet in a red torrent that looked like the waves upon a sea of blood. In her hand stood a scepter of gold with a clear crystal at its top that the warrior could not help but to stare at. It was familiar to her with its glowing, purple seven-pointed star at its center.
‘Come forward warrior.’ The goddess commanded, and the warrior walked confidently
toward the dais, her head held high. There was nothing to fear of this goddess, a goddess of the dawn who promises a new day to all who acknowledge Her. When the warrior stood before her she said, ‘Kneel and offer your sword.’
Pulling her sword, the warrior knelt, holding the great sword horizontally from palm to palm before the goddess, and bowed her head.
Taking the sword, and with one hand, the goddess held the weapon high above the warrior’s head. ‘Are you ready to fulfill your oath?’ The goddess asked her.
‘I am.’ The warrior responded.
‘Your Time has come Noble Warrior.’ The goddess said. ‘To fulfill your Oath is a sacred trust and it is your soul’s destiny. It is for this that you were created, to fulfill the Time of the
Oath. Your Legacy is upon you. If you fail, so fails the creations of Our Great Zeus. Will you not succeed?’
‘I will.’ The warrior replied.
‘Very well. By the power of the Gods of Olympus and of our Great Father Zeus, I charge you with the command of the legions of Elysium and the Heroes of the New dawn.’ Thunder erupted overhead and from the skies came a bolt of violet lightning, striking the sword in the goddess’s hand. Lowering the blade the goddess Eos touched the right shoulder of the warrior, then the left, and finishing with the woman’s head. ‘Rise and take up your sword and the Talisman of the goddess Eos.’
The warrior stood and looked to the goddess expectantly. Receiving the sword, the warrior sheathed and watched as the goddess removed the crystal from atop the staff. Flaring with purple brilliance in the Divine Lady’s palm, Eos handed the Illium stone to the warrior. Receiving the stone the warrior held it firmly, closing her fingers around the stone. As the crystal flared even brighter, and the room around her disappeared, the warrior heard the voice of the goddess once more.
‘…Heed the Time of the Oath…’
